FINE ART NOTE CARDS
Bob Grant
Salt Lake City, Utah
Bob Grant's interest in photography began in grade
school when he received his first 35mm camera as a gift. He later
became the photographer for his school newspaper and yearbook. A high
school trip to Europe sparked his interest in travel photography.
A sampling of his international windows, doors and rooftops collection is
shown here.
After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering
from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Bob entered the oil industry. He found
a challenge in capturing artful scenes in a typically non-picturesque
setting, oil drilling rigs. There Bob developed a specialty - moonlit
winter landscapes in the Rocky Mountain States. Bob's landscapes have
been shown at the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum in Provo and the
Schorr Gallery in West Jordan, Utah.
Other creative interests include woodworking,
metalworking, and glass fusing and casting. His glasswork has been
displayed at a juried show hosted by the Forum Gallery in Salt Lake
City.
