Kathleen Kowal's work captures her favorite aspects of both natural surroundings and snippets of culture. Raised in Southern California, Kathleen has come to appreciate all that it has to offer - from the vast seascapes to the sun-touched plains, as well as the car and train shows she has attended with her father. There is no medium she doesn't enjoy; she likes to be flexible in style as well as in the content of her pieces.

Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from Pratt Institute in New York. Her pen and inks, shown here, are representational of French and German etching while her solitary objects, such as botanicals, are influenced by the stylization of French Art Nouveau.
