We design and create hand-made note
cards that are blank inside.
We need articles to assist our customers in composing personal messages
in the cards they purchase.
Payment for articles:
We are seeking how-to-write articles for our web site. For electronic
rights, we pay $5 to $25 dollars, depending mostly on the writer's
experience. Writers' work will be published on our web site with a
by-line. Writer retains all other rights.
Guidelines:
Articles should be 500 to 1500 words in length.
Writing should appeal to a broad audience.
The article should have practical tips for writing notes, not just
theory.
The focus of the article should be to assist card customers who have
difficultly phrasing personal notes.
Possible subjects (but not limited to): how to write a sympathy note,
how to write a thank you note, notes for special occasion, birthday
(it may seem obvious, but lots of people struggle for words), how
to write an apology, congratulations, friendship note, and any other
subject that might be part of a handwritten note.
Verse
for cards:
Most of our cards will continue to be blank inside, as the images
speak for themselves. Currently we are accepting only articles for
our web site, not verse for our cards.
How
to submit articles:
Send your completed article by e-mail or regular mail to the address
below. A query letter is not necessary.
If you would like your
mailed material returned, include a return mailer with sufficient
postage.
